Real wedding: Danielle and Tyler Joyce
Posted on February 10 2013
Today’s real wedding is this gorgeous wedding of Danielle and Tyler Joyce. Love the color combo of blue and yellow.
Thank you so much Danielle and Tyler for sharing your story with us.
I invite you to join their special moments of their big day.
I refused twice then decided what the heck:) And now he is my husband;)
Your names: Tyler and Danielle Joyce
Your wedding date: August 18, 2012.
How did you two meet?
We met through an old coworker friend of mine that insisted I meet this “wonderful” guy. I refused twice then decided what the heck:) And now hes my husband;)
When did you know that’s the one you want to spend the rest of your life with?
I think I knew early on that he was the one for me. I never had someone so genuine and sweet who always put me first. Tyler…well you’d have to ask him:)
The proposal
The proposal was in Whistler, BC. We went away for the weekend, Tyler’s step mom was surprising us with a room upgrade, the lady at the counter says….”oh i hear we are celebrating a special occasion”. I turned to Tyler and went, “are we?”. We laughed and continued on our weekend. That night we had gone out for dinner and he was acting odd…I was like, “okay its raining, lets go back to our room and relax” Tyler insisted that we walk and we did. IT happened under a gazebo in the middle of whistler village. He went to get down on his knew and i panicked. (I don’t like being the center of attention) . He asked and of course i accepted! How could you not!
Where the wedding took place?
Our wedding took place in the backyard of the lady who introduced us:) In Cloverdale, BC
Your wedding theme: Our theme was backyard bbq casual.
Since you have ordered one of my wedding cake topper, can you share with us what was it that made you
choose this specific one?
I was looking for a wedding topper for awhile. I wanted unique, semi casual, creative and custom. I have always been a fan of lovebirds..(I have a 13 year old one) and i found Orly via Etsy. With a few custom colors, i was in love.
In your opinion, Is there anything you should not compromise about in the big day?
You should never compromise on food at your wedding. We went with something totally different and everyone raved about it. Not your typical buffet food. We had pulled pork, bbq chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, along with some veggie options.
Is there anything that was off limits at your wedding?
Nothing was really off limits, we were and still are all about fun and and laughter..
What was the biggest stress of the wedding?
Biggest stress was the organizing…you need a list and to delegate things out to people. Let them help you!
What is the best advice you have received in your wedding day?
Best advice i got on my wedding was to take the time to soak it all in, look around and appreciate the moment.
Any funny story from the wedding?
Funny story…we hired an ice cream truck to come serve ice cream after the wedding. Well the ice cream man drives up and some random guy with hardly any clothes on comes running after the truck to get ice cream…
What have changed after you got married?
Nothing has changed after marriage, just my last name:)
What is the best part about married life?
Best part of married life is having that one person who loves you unconditionally and will be there whenever you need them.
Any tip for the future brides and grooms?
Best tip would be the advice i was given. Soak it all it, enjoy the moment and enjoy the day. It goes by way too fast!
